oh man, i'm having a hard time in geometry! Its even harder when totally blind and wen the diagrams aren't acurate. i'm getting a d in that class man. the harder thing is the freeking proofs. you have to brake the drawing up, but Ir for a totally blind person than for a visually imparedr? person? can't do that like everyone else! Do you think Geometry is harder for a totally blind person than for a visually impaired person? (Meaning a person who can see a little.)
Priscy, you beat me to it, I was going to start a topic on this too. I was doing so badly in teh class, also a D, like you, taht I am now auditing it to hopefully learn it better this year, then redoing it next year. So I feel your pain utterly. It's a horrible class. I think it's partially about being blind, but not really, since my friend Derek, also totall yblind, is top of the class inGeometry, believe it or not! I'm not lying! I kid you not! OH God geometry's evil. And proofs are just horrible. Remember, sohcahtoa. Or is that trig? Yeah it's trig. You'll get to that eventually and it's even worse. I hate diagrams. The lines are so confusing. I'm so glad I don't take math anymore.
I think that diagrams are mor accurate visually than tactually. do you think? please post any opinions or comments.

I found Geometry to be hard and I'm sighted. I didn't find understanding the diagrams to be hard but memorizing all the equations and the word problems were always hard for me. I passed the class with a C average. I'm not very good at math in general.
Yes, I think diagrams are much more accurate visually than tactually. I just don't like Math, and i don't like Geometry, not just because of Math, but because no matter how I study, which is a lot, I still am failing it! it's very depressing.

I try to brake the picture but I don't know how to work to do the freeking proffs.and finals start on jan 25 and I m exampt from most of them except geometry, pc apps, and I think astronomy. Pc apps is a class where you do things like working with excell which is a spreadsheet. and i got a 4.0 on my research paper for english becaus there was nobody to help me proofread it so I did that myself. and got 4.
This is not a joke. I took an SAT test, and I am also totaly blind. You know what the highest score I got was in? Geometries know joke. I foung the diagrams easy. I just had a math teacher draw diagrams with a glue gun, on a cordbord box. It made it fun. I will talk to you later.
Hi All, Guess what? I took the geometry final and flunked, but I got a C- in the class which means i passed. So now if I get through second semester I don't ahve to retake it. Everyoen cross your fingers heehh thank you! Caitlin

Damn! It's like you guys are reading my mind! Geometry seriously sucks ass!!!! We just started the new semester today, and I have geometry first thing in the morning!!!! GRRRRRRRRR!!! Math is evil!!! It's just so friggin visual!!! Oh, and then like my friggin braille textbook hasn't come in yet, and it won't be in for like another week wich really sucks! Math has always been my worst subject. I do a hell of a lot better in English and reading and writing and stuff like that. In my opinion, whoever came up with the briliant idea of teaching blind and visually impaired people to do geometry should be like either shot in the head, or thrown off a cliff. Lol. It's just so fucking frustrating!!! Ha Ha, I'm at school now, in the library, because I have a study hall that I like never go to, and I didn't have anything else to do, so I just came here to get my frustrations out about geometry, cuz geometry is evil!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

duh, caitlin. duh, im exempt cause im a senior duh. so I already took the final on friday January 28, 2005. I thought it was going to be damn hard. I studyed 2 days. and I hope I pass with at least a 2 or somthing.
Geometry? Yuck! Maths!! Disgusting!! I hate it! I hated drawing these geometric shapes and I hated it in general. Well, I hate maths in general, but geometry is worst of all. Who needs this except those who are as crazy as to study maths later on?
maths is the worst! give me some algebra any day! I can solve a simultaneous or a quadratic, fine, but don't aproach me with a compass or protractor or I will feel an overwelming erdge to grab the protractor, and shove the pointy end of the compass through your scull! lol. I actually dented my brailler once because I was so frustrated with geo, yep, pounded it that hard.
No maths at all, not even the easiest. I hate maths.
I hated geometry,too. Algebra was fine, I almost enjoyed solving equations, but once geometry hit math and I became enimies.
You know , I failed the final, but I passed with a 1. so haha, I don have to make it up again. but now Im getting a 1.4 and I hope to improve. My highest score in my SAT was 1130 of 2400. so that means no more SAT's and stress.

I HATED geometry. that was the first class that i got a D IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I HATE THAT NUMBERS ABD SHAPES, IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO ME. THANK GOD I STILL PASSED THAT CLSS WITH FLYING COLORS.
In our school system we work with numbers, a 1 is like an A, a 2 like the B and so on. Last year, I had a 5 (e) in maths.
yeah, I don't have to take math any more. im in college snd they do cource substitutions. so enstead of math I would take somthing related like logics.
Meh. Geometry is blah. I guess all I can say is ask your teachers to help you and explain it to you, that is what I usually do. I absolutely adore algebra though, so it pays off. We're doing algebraec proofs, they suck, but they'll get through.
ll maths up to algebra 1 is fine, but geometry and algebra 2 and trig is not for me.

let me tell you something, In america, i was making a 12 at one point. A 12, out of 100. um, I live in america so I just thought I'd clarify that. I have no brain for math and I hate the 3 D pictures we have to do but thank God it's over now. All i have to do now, is pass the exam. lol

I remember when i took a quiz regarding the proofs that really suc, i got a five on it. five out of 100 somthing like that. i mean damn. that really sucks. all of the class recieved that grade. the whole class.
but that's because the teacher was the dumbest teacher in the whole universe. he even wrote on my year book. um. "you do not appreciate me because I am ugly." who in the world will say that to a blind person hey please open your brain. hheheheh.
